"Civilization may be the greatest bait-and-switch that ever was. It
convinces us to destroy what is free so an overpriced, inferior copy can be sold to us later — often financed with the money we've earned hastening the destruction of the
free version."
-Christopher Ryan
The wild animal lives fully present—unburdened by the past, unconcerned with the future. As humans, our minds drift across time, a gift that often leaves us lost in thought and joy out of reach. Over this weekend, you will be guided back to presence, awakening your senses and reclaiming the art of being truly alive. In stillness and movement, reflection and breath, we will anchor the spirit to the beauty of now, rediscovering the simple power of what it means to just be.
has traded tribe for isolation, this retreat offers the chance to rekindle the bonds that make us human. Gathered around shared meals and shared purpose, we’ll weave connections that go beyond words, embracing the ancient rhythm of community. Together, we will create a space where strangers become kin, and the essence of tribe—once lost—finds its way back into our hearts.
The natural world reveals a truth that cannot be denied: you cannot fake your place within it. Can you make the jump? Can you hold your breath that long? These are questions the wild asks of you, and only honest effort will answer. Over this weekend, we will return to this realm of undeniable clarity, where every step, every breath, and every action is rooted in reality. Walking the earth with intention, we’ll reconnect to the pulse of nature, where life’s rhythms guide us and the physical world reminds us of our place in something ancient, unyielding, and true.
The purpose of this retreat is to strengthen three vital connections: to self, tribe, and nature. It’s an opportunity to unplug, shed the cultural veneer, and reconnect with what truly makes us human. Through this weekend, you’ll rediscover what is important and embrace the simplicity and clarity of a grounded, intentional life.
This retreat is for any adult seeking to reconnect with themselves, their community, and the natural world. If you’re comfortable stepping out of your comfort zone, challenging yourself to grow, and enjoying the experience of camping under the stars and showering outdoors, this retreat is for you.
Over the weekend, we will engage in a variety of activities, including guided self-reflection, movement practices, group challenges, and intentional time in nature. We’ll share nourishing meals, spend time around the campfire, and create a space to rest, play, and connect deeply with yourself, the tribe, and the land.
A reasonable level of fitness is helpful for this retreat. While activities can be scaled to match each participant’s abilities, the more comfortable you are with your physicality, the more you’ll be able to engage fully. A good benchmark is feeling confident running, jumping, or climbing a tree.
The retreat is intentionally small and personal, with a maximum of 12 attendees to foster deep, meaningful connections.
The retreat will take place in the stunning Magic Valley in southern Idaho, on a seasonal organic regenerative raw micro dairy. This unique location offers the perfect backdrop for reconnecting with nature, complete with open skies, peaceful surroundings, and a chance to live simply and intentionally for the weekend.
The cost of the retreat includes organic, locally sourced, seed-oil free, animal-based meals (Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and Sunday breakfast and lunch and dinner), a campsite, outdoor propane-heated showers, composting toilets, fresh raw milk straight from the dairy, and transportation during the event.
You’ll need to bring a tent, sleeping gear, a water bottle, appropriate clothing and footwear for the weather, and a swimsuit. If you have specific snacks you’d like, feel free to bring those as well.
Absolutely. While we’ll spend the weekend as a tribe—playing, eating, challenging ourselves, and connecting—there will also be time to rest and simply enjoy the peace of the land and the company of others.
Once you register, I, Loren Fjord, will personally reach out to coordinate all logistics and reserve your spot. You’ll receive detailed instructions and support to ensure you’re prepared for the weekend ahead.
"By the end of the retreat, I was amazed by how much I gained. I didn’t expect to experience so much! One of the most impactful moments was when we went to the rock pillars and took time to reflect in the cave. It was a moment of deep connection—not only with the people around me but also with my own ancestry. surrounded by good food and great people. It was a rare and refreshing kind of weekend."

"Coming into the weekend, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but by the end, I was blown away by the camaraderie and challenges we faced together. Learning to climb for the first time, hiking waterfalls, and pushing through freezing rivers showed me just how capable I am with the right support. It completely changed how I view fitness—it’s about moving your body in new ways, connecting with nature, and building strength with a tribe. Truly eye-opening."
"The weekend was a transformative experience. I came in with a loose idea of what to expect, but it ended up being much more than just physical challenges—it was about creating a tribe, reconnecting with nature, and simplifying life. The shared moments, especially over the home-cooked meals with great people, were incredibly meaningful. It was a powerful reminder of how much we miss in our everyday lives by not connecting over simple, genuine experiences.”
"Standing under the waterfall with the group, shouting together, and seeing a pelican fly by was surreal. It was a moment that couldn’t have been planned, but it felt absolutely perfect. The entire weekend was filled with these raw, magical moments that brought us closer to ourselves, the group, and the land around us."
